Stearns Bank Set to Open New Branch in Albany by End of Year

Construction is well underway on Stearns Bank’s new location, reflecting its longstanding commitment to the community and enhancing the banking experience for customers. 

Albany, Minn. (August 5, 2026) – Stearns Bank, in partnership with Peternell Companies, has construction well underway on its new Albany branch.

The new branch reflects Stearns Bank’s continued investment in the Albany community and its commitment to serving individuals, families, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations for years to come. The leased facility will provide a modern, convenient banking experience while reinforcing the bank’s longstanding presence in the area.

Expected to open by the end of 2026, the branch will be located at 121 Railroad Avenue in Albany, next to the Post Office. It will feature a full-service lobby, drive-up services, an accessible night drop, two drive-through lanes, a drive-up ATM, and a rotating historical exhibit, designed for community members and area visitors to enjoy.
