Brenda Muellner-McDermond

Brenda has been a part of the Stearns Bank construction loan team since 2001.

Over her extensive career, Brenda says she has always loved working with new people and enjoys the satisfaction of working on projects from start to finish. Brenda recognizes that the construction industry is always evolving, and she gladly embraces each change as an opportunity to research, explore, learn, and grow.

In her current role, Brenda leads her team through the construction loan process, which includes state tracking and understanding lien laws, waivers, retainage and many more details to help customers stay on track with the timing of their projects.

Both professionally and personally, Brenda is motivated by the successful completion of lists – visualizing what must be done and crossing items off is a thrill for her.

In 2021, Brenda was recognized as a Stearns Bank Stand Out Performer and was also received companywide recognition for her 20 years of service.

Outside of her career, Brenda dedicates her time as an on-call EMT and firefighter. She is also part of the Midwest Outdoors Unlimited for Todd County (Minnesota), providing outdoor recreational activities, such as fishing and hunting, to individuals with physical disabilities.
