Stearns Bank is looking for a full time commercial loan assistant to become part of our commercial lending team for our Scottsdale, AZ location.  This position works closely with Loan officers, Borrowers, and third parties in collecting the information needed to originate, process, close and service assigned commercial loans.

Qualified candidates should have two-year secondary education and experience in title insurance, real estate, or loan closings. Excellent computer skills, oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills are a must. Credit Review Officer—St. Cloud, MN

This position directly oversees the credit review function of the company. The Credit Review Officer will assist the Chief Credit Officer (CCO), Chief Risk Officer (CRO), and Senior Credit Risk Manager (SCRM) in analyzing credit risk within the loan portfolio. This position is responsible for the preparation of the allowance for loan and lease losses and stress testing the portfolio. In addition, the Credit Review Officer will assist in other credit-related tasks and projects, some of which are noted below. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Responsible for the preparation of the analysis and documentation of the ALLL.
•    Lead the day-to-day implementation of stress testing and portfolio reporting software (Di-Com). 
•    Assist with monitoring and tracking of credit underwriting exceptions.
•    Attend all Problem Loan Committee meetings – and provide follow-up as needed
•    Assist with the following:
•        On-going automation/enhancement of credit analysis/review function.
•        Problem loan management and identification of loss exposure for ALLL purposes.
•    Assist the CCO, CRO, and SCRM in a variety of ad-hoc credit-related projects and/or research involving the management of risk, new lines of business, or responses to regulator requests.
•    Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualified candidates should have a four-year college degree in accounting, business administration or finance, 5+ years of experience needed with 3+ years of supervisory experience, strong oral/written communications skills, word processing/spreadsheet experience and a proficient understanding of financial statements.

Loan Documentation Specialist – St. Cloud, MN

Our Team is looking for a Loan Documentation Specialist.  A large part of this position will involve assisting with lease revisions, maintaining corporate filing and assisting with legal notices and/or cases. This position is responsible for reviewing/assessing commercial loan documentation (including but not limited to reviewing/examining title commitments and exceptions, reviewing surveys, environmental reports and various other documents and reports related to commercial real estate lending) prior to and after loan closing, reporting of all deficiencies and working with the loan officers and assistants to clear the noted exceptions. 

Qualified candidates should have post-secondary education and a minimum of 3 years prior experience in commercial/real estate lending and documentation, processing, or experience in the Title Insurance or Survey industry or paralegal experience.  Bankruptcy experience is a plus.  Excellent oral and written communication and high attention to detail is a must.  This position also requires the ability to prioritize work load to meet deadlines along with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include:


Data Security:

  • Manage security program including policies & procedures and security awareness
  • Ensure compliance with Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), FFIEC, PCI Standards and other regulatory requirements
  • Develop, maintain and enforce Data Security Review to be used for all new and existing critical vendors
  • Performs Data Security Awareness training for all new employees and annually for all bank employees
  • Escalates any security or compliance issues and alerts to management
  • Help define and support process improvements

Risk Management:

  • Oversee annual review and revision of the risk management process
  • Prepare analysis of new technology deployed within the infrastructure including hardware, software and functional processes and determines level of risk associated with each technology
  • Provide advice to development teams on how to achieve compliance with regulations and IT Policies & Procedures

Regulatory Examinations and Audit Oversight:

  • Stay abreast of new regulatory requirements and communicate to upper management 
  • Work with federal examiners (e.g. FFIEC, OCC, SOX, FDIC, etc.)
  • Drive IT internal and third-party audits and regulatory examinations
    • Develop audit scope
    • Request RFP's and present to audit committee
    • Prepare request list items for pre-audit
    • Manage audit process
    • Manage and track recommendations and remediation efforts

Job Requirements:

  • Must have 5 + years of experience in IT management with a focus on physical and logical security oversight
  • Proven working knowledge of requirements for GLBA, SOX and PCI and OCC, FDIC, FFIEC guidance on data security and IT Examination requirements
  • Experience with auditing processes, Including network Security, SDLC/Change Management and IT related functions
  • Knowledge of the global IT Risk Regulatory Landscape and Risk Management Model (e.g. Threats, vulnerabilities and controls)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining a technology risk assessment process
  • Must be well versed in industry accepted IT control frameworks (e.g. SSAE16, SAS70 or ISO17799 audit reports)
  • Project and program management concepts and controls experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team and with other business groups
  • Experience or understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity initiatives
  • Must have ability to develop policies & procedures and communicate effectively
  • Understanding of federal and other regulatory requirements and the ability to keep current
  • Experience working with federal examiners
  • Must be open to working on-call

Education:

  • BS/BA degree in related technical and security disciplines
  • Certifications in data security and/or auditing procedures not required but preferred
